Day 1: Reggio Emilia

Morning arrival in Reggio Emilia and check-in at a city center hotel.

Stroll through the historic city center.

The tour will take you to the heart of the city, exploring its history, legends, and hidden secrets among squares, alleys, and centuries-old architecture. Using the new free app and QR codes placed around the interior pillars of the Basilica of the Ghiara, you can deepen your understanding of its historical and artistic aspects and observe the paintings. The walk concludes with a convivial and flavorful moment dedicated to discovering an ancient local specialty, combining rural craftsmanship and gastronomic tradition.

Day 2: Reggio Emilia – Matilda of Canossa Castles

After breakfast, guided visit to a Parmigiano Reggiano farmhouse, using milk from the ancient Reggio Emilia cattle breed.

Continue along the Matilda of Canossa Castles route. Arrival and visit of Sarzano Castle, one of the most elegant and best-preserved fortresses in the Emilia Apennines.

Lunch with tasting.

Guided visits to Bianello Castle and Rossena Castle.

Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 3: Reggio Emilia

Guided visit to a producer of traditional balsamic vinegar of Reggio Emilia.
