

1st day
Day 1 – Chiaravalle della Colomba – Castell’Arquato
Arrival at the Cistercian Abbey of Chiaravalle della Colomba and visit to the church and the large central cloister of the complex founded in 1135-36 at the behest of Abbot Bernard of Clairvaux.
Possibility of purchasing products and liqueurs from the monastery.
Tasting lunch with PDO Piacenza cured meats (coppa, salami and bacon) a glass of wine at.
Possibility of buying typical products
Transfer to Val d’Arda and accommodation in a hotel*** or farmhouse in Castell’Arquato or in neighboring towns.
Visit to the wonderful village of Castell’Arquato, perched on a hill overlooking the valley, striking for the authenticity of the village and the majesty of the thirteenth-century monuments such as the Palazzo del Podestà, the Rocca Viscontea and the Collegiata Church.
Dinner in a typical restaurant and overnight.
2nd day
Day 2 – Castell’Arquato – Veleia Romana – Vigoleno
Breakfast in hotel/agritourism and departure for Veleia Romana located at an altitude of 450 meters where you can admire the forum and the thermal baths.
Resuming the road that leads back to the valley floor, you will cross splendid hills cultivated with Ortrugo and Gutturnio, lunch in an agritourism and winery.
After lunch we continue towards Vigoleno.
You will be welcomed by the keep that dominates the splendid fortified village, walking inside the village you will feel in another era.
You cannot say goodbye to Vigoleno without having tasted its Vin Santo in one of the cellars where it is produced.
