1st day – Roncole Verdi – Busseto
Arrival in Roncole Verdi, a small town where the Maestro was born. Guided tour of the Birthplace, a humble building full of historical relics and the nearby Church of San Michele. The church preserves the baptismal font where Giuseppe Verdi was baptized and the organ on which the musician practiced at the age of 10 under the guidance of the parish priest.
Lunch/tasting in a typical restaurant and visit to the Culatello di Zibello maturing cellar
Transfer to Busseto and visit to Casa Barezzi where Verdi gave his first public performance in February 1830 and love was born between the composer and Margherita Barezzi. Followed by a guided tour of the Teatro Verdi and the Renata Tebaldi Museum, where objects, clothes and jewels that belonged to the woman Arturo Toscanini called the “Angel’s Voice” are exhibited. Visit to the church of Santa Maria degli Angeli (15th century) which houses a valuable terracotta group by Guido Mazzoni and to the Church of the Collegiate Church: rebuilt in 1437, it has fine decorations on the façade in Lombard-style terracotta. Ferdinando Provesi was the organist and chapel master from 1820 to 1833, Giuseppe Verdi’s master.

Day 2 – Villanova d’Arda – Parma
After breakfast departure for Villanova sull’Arda and guided tour of Villa Sant’Agata: the house was bought by the Maestro in 1848 and is a symbol of his character and passions , with photographs, personal items, memorabilia and gifts from admirers.
Transfer to Parma and guided tour of the Teatro Regio one of the most important traditional theaters in Italy and considered by opera aficionados one of the quintessential houses of the great Italian operatic tradition.
Tasting lunch in a club member Parma City of Gastronomy
Guided tour of the Birthplace of Arturo Toscanini which collects memorabilia, objects and documents of the Maestro. Following Parma City Tour; a guided walking tour that will allow you to get to know the main artistic treasures and the food and wine secrets of the city, which have made Parma a Creative City for Gastronomy and Capital of Italian Culture 2020. The tour starts from Piazza Garibaldi, the heart of the city, and continues between the main monuments, only outdoors, there are no entrances to the monuments.
