Day 1: Parma

Morning arrival in Parma.

Meet your guide and enjoy a guided tour of the Teatro Farnese and the treasures of the National Gallery inside the Palazzo della Pilotta.

Light lunch featuring typical local products.

In the afternoon, transfer to Colorno for a guided tour of the Royal Palace, a magnificent palace and country residence of the Dukes of Parma. Free time for a relaxing stroll through the large park (with an audio guide to follow a historical and botanical route).

Check-in at the hotel. Dinner tasting in a typical city center trattoria.

Day 2: Parma – Soragna

Early morning start and meet your guide for a visit to a Parmigiano Reggiano cheese producer. Observe the production process, maturation rooms, and finish with a tasting.

Then, guided visit of the richly furnished and decorated rooms of the Rocca Meli Lupi di Soragna.

Transfer to Fontanellato for lunch on your own.

In the afternoon, guided tour of the fortress housing a precious fresco by Parmigianino and the “Optical Room.”
