DAY 1 – RONCOLE • BUSSETO • CASTELL’ARQUATO • COLORNO

Arrival in Le Roncole and guided visit to the Birthplace of Giuseppe Verdi, a symbolic site of his rural origins.

Transfer to Busseto and visits to:

• Casa Barezzi, where the young Verdi found support and musical training

• Teatro Verdi, an elegant 19th-century theater preserving the area’s musical heritage

Lunch in a traditional tavern with a local menu.

Afternoon – Castell’Arquato, in the Footsteps of Luigi Illica
Transfer to Castell’Arquato, one of Emilia’s most picturesque medieval villages.

• Visit to the Luigi Illica Museum, dedicated to the celebrated librettist of Puccini, Mascagni, and Giordano.
  The exhibition includes manuscripts, sketches, photographs, first editions, and documents recounting the life and work of one of the most important figures in Italian opera.

• Walking tour of the historic village (Rocca Viscontea, Piazza del Municipio, Collegiate Church).

Aperitif tasting at the Municipal Wine Shop (Enoteca Comunale).

Evening – Colorno
Accommodation in a *** / **** hotel.
8:00 PM: departure for Colorno and visit to the Reggia di Colorno, a refined Baroque complex.

• Attendance at the Opera Festival performance at the Reggia, staged in the evocative setting of the Historic Garden.

• Return to the hotel and overnight stay.

DAY 2 – PARMA, CITY OF MUSIC

Breakfast at the hotel.

Guided tour of the historic center with entrance to:

• Cathedral

• Baptistery

• Teatro Regio

• Birthplace of Arturo Toscanini

• Casa della Musica

Lunch at the restaurant “Corale Verdi”, a symbolic venue of Parma’s convivial tradition.

Afternoon – Art and Baroque Theatre
Visit to the National Gallery and the Teatro Farnese, an all-wood Baroque masterpiece and one of Europe’s most fascinating historic theaters.

End of services.
