Bike Itinerary: From Parma to Colorno, a Journey of Culture and Nature

10:00 AM – Departure from Parma

The day begins with a captivating city tour of Parma’s historic center, a city of art and flavor. After a walk through its squares, monuments, and typical shops, it’s time to pick up your bicycle and GPS track: you’re all set for an adventure!

1:00 PM – Bicycle Pick-up and Ride on the Food Valley Bike
You’ll pick up your chosen bicycle from our partner, who will provide all the necessary equipment for your excursion, including a bicycle, helmet, repair kit, and GPS track.

You will then head onto the Food Valley Bike trail, a cycling route that winds through the typical landscapes of the Lower Parma area, amidst cultivated fields, canals, and farmhouses. This is a route suitable for everyone, surrounded by nature, where you can truly feel the heart of the land of Parmigiano Reggiano and Culatello.

Visit to the Reggia di Colorno (Afternoon, open from 3 PM to 6 PM)
Upon arriving in Colorno, you will enter the magnificent Reggia, the summer residence of the dukes of Parma, also known as the “Versailles of the Dukes.” With the help of an audio guide, you will discover the noble rooms, the Italian-style garden, and the fascinating history of this architectural jewel.

Return to Parma and Bike Drop-off
After the visit, you will begin the return journey at your own pace, enjoying the scenery of the Parma countryside one more time. This is an experience of culture, nature, and tradition, ideal for anyone looking for an exciting bike excursion.
