During the excursion, you will visit the production halls, where you can see first-hand how this prized cheese is made, and walk through the maturing warehouse, where thousands of wheels of Parmigiano Reggiano slowly age. At the end of the visit, you will taste some Parmigiano Reggiano shavings of different ages to appreciate its unique flavours.
The tour continues through the picturesque Parma countryside by bus, until you reach a renowned delicatessen. Here you will discover the secrets of Parma Ham production, from the selection of meat, to salting, to resting in the traditional ageing cellars.
Before returning to Parma, you can savour the delicious Prosciutto di Parma and other traditional cured meats in an authentic and engaging gastronomic experience.
