Program

Day 1 – Parma, city of art and music

Arrival in Parma and meeting with the guide for a visit to the historic center. The itinerary leads to the discovery of the city’s most iconic landmarks: the Cathedral and the Baptistery, outstanding examples of Romanesque architecture; Piazza Garibaldi, the vibrant heart of city life; the prestigious Teatro Regio, a temple of opera; and the famous Camera della Badessa in the Monastery of San Paolo, entirely frescoed by Correggio.

In the afternoon, visit to the National Gallery, which houses important works by Leonardo da Vinci, Correggio, Parmigianino, and other great masters.

In the evening, dinner with tasting at a traditional restaurant, featuring a menu of local specialties.

Day 2 – Sabbioneta and Mantua, pearls of the Renaissance

After breakfast, departure for Sabbioneta, an extraordinary ideal Renaissance city, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The guided tour explores bastions, arcaded streets, and monumental palaces, revealing the urban vision conceived by Prince Vespasiano Gonzaga — a unique example of a perfectly harmonious city. Entrance to the Ducal Palace, the evocative Teatro all’Antica by Vincenzo Scamozzi, and the Garden Palace with its scenic Gallery of the Ancients.

Traditional lunch and continuation to Mantua.

In the afternoon, visit to the magnificent Ducal Palace of Mantua and the celebrated Camera degli Sposi, an absolute Renaissance masterpiece frescoed by Andrea Mantegna. Guided walk through the historic center among squares and historic buildings.
