In the heart of the Lower Parma area, amid poetic mists, ancient flavors, and lands that gave birth to Verdi and Guareschi, November Porc comes to life—the famous “relay of taste” that celebrates local cured meats and butchery traditions every weekend in November. An authentic journey along the “Strada del Culatello”, through villages, ducal residences, taste museums, and unmissable tastings, revealing the most genuine gastronomic soul of the Food Valley.

PROGRAM

DAY 1 – SATURDAY
COLORNO, SORAGNA, RONCOLE VERDI – ART, FLAVORS, AND GREAT MASTERS

Morning – Reggia di Colorno
Arrival in Colorno and meeting with the guide.

Guided tour of the splendid Reggia di Colorno, the “Versailles of the Dukes of Parma,” a sumptuous residence of the Farnese, Bourbon families, and Maria Luigia of Austria.

Walk through the Historic Italian Garden.

Next – The Homeland of Culatello
Visit to a Culatello aging facility to discover the techniques, environments, and secrets of the king of cured meats from the Bassa Parma area.

Lunch at a traditional local restaurant with a regional menu.

Afternoon – Taste Museums and Verdi’s Places

  • Visit and tasting at the Parmigiano Reggiano Museum in Soragna
  • Transfer to Roncole Verdi and visit the Birthplace of Giuseppe Verdi

Dinner at a November Porc partner restaurant with a special menu dedicated to the festival.

Overnight stay in a *** / **** hotel.


DAY 2 – SUNDAY
PARMA AND NOVEMBER PORC

Morning
Guided tour of Parma’s historic center, an elegant city rich in masterpieces.

Main stops:

  • Exterior of the Palazzo della Pilotta
  • Entrance to the Teatro Farnese, an extraordinary 17th-century wooden theater
  • Romanesque Cathedral with the Correggio dome
  • Baptistery by Benedetto Antelami, a jewel in Verona pink marble

Late Morning
Transfer to the festival locations to experience the unique atmosphere of themed markets and tastings of giant cured meats prepared for the occasion.

Free time for tastings, shopping, and participation in festival activities.
